volunteered to do road marshalling for CCIS 2006 on the 25th Dec. my shift was from 1pm - 4pm and 8pm -1am (: the uncle at the CISCO auxillary police was very nice and invited me to take pics with his bike! whheeeeee... and yahui in the middle of the roadblock of orchard (from tangs till paragon) - it was a good time, about 40over of us from SJCp volunteered. in between breaks, spoke to quite a lot of SJCp pple so it was really good. heh (: Gloria and Susu came at about 9plus to help out .. i'm glad that they came cos i got quite bored .. they really made it easier for me.. thank GOD for them! hee.. xie xie dears!!!
a caucasian couple asked me about some info about CCIS (timings, stage performance and floats) and at the end, they asked if it was a Christian event :) of course i replied YES! and they were like "Praise GOD!" - was encouraged that they were happy that Christ's birth is being proclaimed in the midst of all the shopping and gifts frenzy :) THANK YOU LORD for the 1st Advent - salvation to all Mankind

one tourist identified himself as a priest from indonesia and he commented that Singapore is clean, safe and beautiful. during the road marshallg, i observed many things and one of it are these unsung heroes, wearing green vests, walking ard with a black trashbag and a pair of tongs! they were actually kpg the streets clean and think they are doing a great job (: PPLE DUN LITTER OKE?

why do some people who are comfortably clothed, housed and are without any real worries in this world, do silly things which bring about their eventual downfall?
so soft like overcooked macaroni mixed with marsh potatoes la And yet there are those who slog day and night just to survive, find simple pleasures in simple things? those who didn't resign to their circumstances nor let the "downs" in life drag them down
so strong like a diamond being honed
I really wonder who the REAL poor are
The disparity is disheartening but yahui must look to GOD

youth camp's starting in 2 hrs' time. the day after youth camp, we're heading straight to thailand for mission trip :) really excited - and after the trip, will be sharing at a youth camp the very next day
